Netflix has successfully secured the rights to adapt Alix E. Harrow’s acclaimed fantasy novel, The Everlasting, into a new television series. The narrative centers on a legendary female knight and a modern historian who find themselves caught in a complex time loop as they attempt to alter the course of the past. Daphne Ferraro, known for her work on "Maxton Hall" and "Dark," is attached to write and executive produce the production. This high-profile project is being developed by Universal Global Television alongside several prominent executive producers, including the original author. If the show moves forward, it will join the streaming platform's successful roster of literary adaptations. By bringing this story to the screen, the creators aim to explore the tension between established mythology and the actual truth of historical events.
