What happens when two robots discover something beautifully human? Maybe love really does have a happy ending!
The Roundtable welcomes Claire Kwon and Steven Huynh, the stars of the first North American tour of the six-time Tony Award-winning musical Maybe Happy Ending, for a heartfelt and fun conversation about bringing one of Broadway's most celebrated new musicals to audiences across the country!
Both members of the original Broadway company, Claire and Steven are stepping into the leading roles of Claire and Oliver, two retired HelperBots living in Seoul whose unexpected friendship blossoms into something extraordinary.
We talk about the magic of this beautiful production, the emotional journey of bringing these characters to life, the show's unforgettable music, and what it means to take a Broadway phenomenon on the road. From the creative storytelling to the universal themes of love, connection, loneliness, and hope, Maybe Happy Ending reminds us that sometimes the most human stories come from the most unexpected places.
With music by Will Aronson, lyrics by Hue Park, and direction by Tony Award winner Michael Arden, Maybe Happy Ending captured six Tony Awards in 2025, including Best Musical, Best Original Score, and Best Direction of a Musical.
