I sat down with Tyler Purcell, co-founder of Laundry Spot, at their flagship location in Hamilton, Ohio, to see how a laundromat can generate more than $1 million a year. Tyler walked me through their massive 130-pound washing machine, proprietary detergent system, commercial laundry operation, and the technology they use to manage the business remotely. We also broke down startup costs, financing, margins, site selection, and the grand-opening strategy that helped them quickly attract customers. Finally, Tyler explained why buying an old “passive” laundromat can become a low-paying job and how Laundry Spot has grown into a franchise with 36 territories sold.
