I spent a year building AI skills for my product team. The technical part was the easy half. Adoption was the actual problem, and the lessons I got from it weren't the ones I expected.

Three skills are still in active use: a feature-breakdown skill, an A/B rollout skill, and a multi-agent landing page generator. Three got deleted: a status update writer, an "agentic master" planner, and a roadmap prioritization helper. What stuck and what didn't came down to people, not the model.
