"The most powerful thing a man can do is know exactly who he is without needing anyone else to confirm it." – Unknown
In this episode, Logan and Tyson sit down with Lucas J. Coles, a masculinity coach, author, and one of the more refreshing voices in a space that has gotten very loud lately.
Lucas takes a different approach to the conversation around masculinity than most of what you'll find online. He believes in strong men. He believes the world needs them. But he also believes that the version of masculinity being performed loudest on social media, the chest beating, the dominance, the constant need to prove it, is often hiding something. Insecurity dressed up as strength. A man who is truly grounded in who he is doesn't need to announce it. He just lives it.
Logan and Tyson dig into what healthy masculinity actually looks like in practice as a husband, a father, and a man navigating a world that seems increasingly confused about what men are supposed to be. Lucas breaks down where the culture has gone wrong, why so many men are either performing toughness or completely checked out, and what it actually takes to build the kind of identity that doesn't depend on outside validation or an online persona to hold it together.
Lucas also gives a sneak peek into his upcoming book Mandemic, a deep dive into the epidemic of lost, disconnected, and misdirected men and what it's going to take to turn the tide.
