Craig, Alaska, 2004: When 16-year-old Rachelle Waterman returns home from a volleyball tournament, her mother, Lauri, is missing. Her burned minivan is soon discovered on an isolated road, with Lauri’s body inside.
Investigators trace the killing to two older men connected to Rachelle, who claim they murdered Lauri because her daughter had asked them to. Rachelle’s private messages and online blog reveal that she had complained about her mother and repeatedly spoken about wanting her dead.
