Green Bay, Wisconsin, 2023: A woman accused of an unimaginably brutal murder has just attacked her own defence lawyer in the middle of court. By this point, Taylor Schabusiness had already confessed to killing 24 year old Shad Thyrion and dismembering his body inside his mother’s home.
But as her trial approaches, Taylor’s behaviour becomes increasingly erratic. She attacks another lawyer, disrupts proceedings and is eventually brought into court restrained and wearing a spit hood. Her defence argues that she was not legally responsible for what she had done… but was Taylor genuinely experiencing severe mental illness, or was she deliberately trying to convince everyone that she was?
