On today's show I sat down with Pete Hilger, CEO of Allied Solutions, to trace his journey from growing up in a single-parent home to learning discipline in the U.S. Air Force and eventually helping scale a family-led financial services company into a major Midwest institution.
Pete explains how his mother bought and grew a small firm serving financial institutions, how he and his brothers professionalized operations, expanded distribution, and used acquisitions and a 2000 merger to become Allied Solutions, later acquired by Minnesota Life in 2004.
He outlines Allied's core work in risk management services, insurance tracking for millions of loans, and consumer protection products delivered through banks and credit unions.
Our conversation also covers Allied's investment in Midtown Carmel's growth and its long-running tradition of hosting executives at the Indianapolis 500, including charitable giving through Children's Miracle Network.
