Working with people in pain is challenging for both instructors and clients. Taking advice from new advances in the science of pain, Brian and Nora discuss ways to redirect clients away from their focus on pain, tips for helping them distinguish pain from discomfort and ways to help them create positive movement experiences. As instructors these clients can challenge us to remain optimistic and positive and we also include a few tips for helping you manage your own state when working with difficult clients.
