How much of who you are is really you, and how much is the person you think you're supposed to be?
In this episode, we sit down with Dave Rossi, author, speaker, and founder of Omega, to talk about the pressure men feel to perform, achieve, appear strong, and live up to an image of what a man should be.
Dave spent much of his life succeeding at a game he says he never chose to play. From the outside, he was achieving, but underneath it, he felt increasingly disconnected from who he really was. That experience ultimately led him to question the expectations he'd built his life around and find a different way of living.
We talk about modern masculinity, identity, success, relationships, and authenticity and what happens when men spend so much time trying to meet other people's expectations that they lose sight of themselves.
What does it actually mean to "be yourself"? Can you be successful without constantly performing? And how do you figure out who you really are when you've spent years becoming who you thought you were supposed to be?
It's a thought-provoking conversation about masculinity, the masks we wear, and what can happen when you finally take them off.
