The thing about TRANSFORMATION TUESDAYS is that things can get quite tragic and this iconic Cronenberg re-make of a 1950s horror rivals any cinematic tragedy in the history of film. What else could we be discussing but the 1986 body horror classic THE FLY from 1986? Seth Brundle has invented teleportation but a drunken accident resulted in his genes merging with a common house insect. It’s no thrill watching him fall apart into a hideous final form but the emotions feel very real. It’s just too bad about that baboon’s brother. If you haven’t seen this 80s hit then you’re missing out. Just don’t be mad at me when you’re feeling all melancholic afterwards. That’s the price of being a film buff.
