I just took my kids to see Christopher Nolan's Odyssey in IMAX, and it might be one of the biggest movies of the year and one of the biggest storytelling blunders of his career. Nolan didn't tell Homer's story. He stripped out the magic, swapped the heroes, and turned a tale about love and honor into one about guilt and shame. So this week I break down what he got wrong, and why I actually believe in gods, monsters, and an enchanted world, just not the way you'd expect. Because deep down, every one of us is on an epic journey home, and the Bible tells that story better than any movie ever could.
