Today's guest is the amazing Maria Hedengren.

In this episode we talk about building a startup in a crisis. We discuss different strategies and the importance of focusing on your core business. We also talk about thinking big and to be prepared to scale your business from the start. We talk about scalable leadership and stereotypes of the perception of female leaders. We also cover factors that Maria is taking into consideration when she is investing in startups as an angel investor and she also shares her best startup advice.

Maria has extensive experience from executive leadership positions in international corporations. Companies that have been in rapid growth through transformation and digitalisation of traditional, analogue or brick and mortar industries. Where success is built on use of massive amounts of data, technology innovation and an agile company culture with value driven leadership. She has scaled both public and private tech companies and expanded them internationally. She has been leading private funding rounds as well as IPOs. Her experiences include positions such as CFO of iZettle just before their IPO when they were acquired by PayPal and CEO of Readly as it IPOed in 2020. Today she spends her time working in a number of non-executive boards, coaching and advising start-ups and scale-ups and doing angel investments.
