This is the first episode of the Honest Podcast. And let me start off by saying that I know nothing about podcasting. So please lower your expectations to the absolute minimum. Are you ready?

I was born and raised in Copenhagen, Denmark, but today I live in Portugal and this podcast is being recorded from my new home one hour south of Lisbon. I moved here 3 years ago after spending 15 years in Asia, US and Europe to settle down, have a family, spend more time in nature and get out of the fast-paced city environment that has dominated most of my adult life.

Like me, more and more people are moving to Portugal. People from all over the world are visiting Portugal, buying second homes or hearing the buzz about Lisbon from friends. Why is that? Why has Portugal become the new hot destination these days? And are you wondering if this is a place for you?
