Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
On August 6, 2006, DivineOffice.org went live for the first time on the Feast of the Transfiguration of our Lord. Twenty years later, on that same glorious feast day, we want to mark the anniversary the way this ministry has always understood best: in prayer.
We have come a long way praying together. Long enough that we now know many of you by name, by country or profession. We have kept years of email conversations and stored your preferences, your suggestions, both your complains and your kind words of appreciation, we have records of your love and support for this work. And yet there are far more of you that we don’t know, that have prayed alongside us, in a room we will never see, a place we have never been, at an hour we might be asleep.
Beginning July 29, we want to say thank you the way this ministry knows how — nine days, nine intentions, each one a small act of gratitude for a part of this prayer community we could never adequately thank on our own.
We invite you to pray these nine intentions with us, in whatever way fits your day — a moment added to Morning Prayer, a line remembered before Night Prayer, or simply a pause to hold that day’s intention in your heart.
