Suzi Quatro was an Italian Hungarian born and bred in Motor City Detroit, Michigan, on June 3, 1950, and grew up in the suburb of Grosse Pointe.
Hailing from a musical family, she played bongos in her father’s jazz band by age eight and later formed the garage rock band The Pleasure Seekers and became a legendary female rock trailblazer in her own right. She has sold 55 million records world-wide & counting & paved the way for generations of women to rock n roll, a true pioneer in a masculine dominated world & the the first female rock bassist to become a major international star...
Writing and singing her own songs she became an inspiration the world over. Chart-topping in her leather cat suit she hurtled through Can the Can skyrocketing to number 1 on the Official Charts in UK Australia and Europe in 1973 and tore up Devil Gate Drive, as the bass wielding glam rock queen.
