Sneaker Pimp Ian Pickering talks to Splash Stories about life & The Noise Who Runs Re: GenX

The Noise Who Runs formed in 2019 by Sneaker Pimps’ lyricist Ian Pickering along with guitarist Felipe Goes is an Anglo-French dark electronic rock and pop outfit with heavy influences of indie, EDM and trip hop.

Ian dropped The Noise Who Runs album Re: GenX  released May 8 2026 on Bandcamp & told Splash Stories : "There will be a final single from the album in mid-July, The Summer Talking" , after which I will start finishing the next album, currently entitled Signals in the Static. 

That should be ready for release in 2027 and the live show is coming together. After essentially spending the last seven years exclusively writing and recording, it’s how best to translate everything back to a live set-up and I am excited by that.

Ian also participated as a panelist in the music networking conference www.micannes.com programme directed by Ben Steadman in June 2026
