Sometimes obedience doesn't look like success.
I planned an event for 50 people… and only 6 showed up.
And if I'm being completely honest, at first, it hurt. I questioned myself. I wondered where I went wrong. I wondered if all the planning, praying, fasting, preparing, and believing had been in vain.
But God had to remind me: my responsibility was obedience, not outcomes.
The room may not have been full, but God was there. We broke bread. We shared tears. We had real conversations. People were impacted. And through the eyes of those who attended, God showed me that what I thought was a failure was never a failure at all.
Sometimes God has to shift our perspective because we're so focused on what we expected that we miss what He actually did.
Proverbs 16:9 reminds us that we may make our plans, but the Lord determines our steps.
So if you're sitting in a season where things didn't turn out the way you expected, don't call it a failure too soon.
Maybe God is teaching you to trust Him beyond the numbers, beyond the applause, beyond the attendance, and beyond what makes sense.
Six people came. God still showed up. And that's enough.
You are still worthy. You are still called. You are still capable. And most importantly, you still need Jesus. ❤️🔥
