📚 Robert Thorogood on The Marlow Murder Club
In this episode of Michelle Ford Interviews, Michelle chats to bestselling author and screenwriter Robert Thorogoodabout his hugely popular cosy crime novel The Marlow Murder Club.
When 77-year-old crossword setter Judith Potts witnesses what she believes is a murder in the quiet Buckinghamshire town of Marlow, the police aren't convinced. So Judith decides to investigate herself - joined by two unlikely amateur sleuths, dog walker Suzie Harris and vicar's wife Becks Starling. Together, the three women form the Marlow Murder Club and set out to uncover the truth.
Michelle and Robert also talk about the hugely successful TV adaptation of The Marlow Murder Club, including seeing his characters brought to life on screen. The series stars Samantha Bond as Judith, alongside Jo Martin, Cara Horgan and Natalie Dew.
And, of course, there’s plenty of laughter - including a discussion about whether Judith, Suzie and Becks are essentially Marlow's answer to Charlie's Angels!
