The countdown to ski season is officially on! In this episode, Nicole and Sarah sit down with Kate Hawley, Event Director for Snowbound Expo, to talk about one of the Northeast’s biggest celebrations of skiing, snowboarding and winter culture.
Snowbound Expo takes place November 14–15, 2026 at Mohegan Sun in Connecticut. Kids under 12 are free. Use code SKIMOMS at checkout for discounted tickets.
Visit SnowboundExpo.com for schedules, exhibitors and event information, and check the Ski Moms website for our ticket discount code.
Kate shares what’s new for 2026, including appearances from Jessie Diggins, Travis Rice, Kimmy Fasani and Tom Walsh, plus the Rail Jam, Learn to Ski mini hill, trampoline show, and a new Alpine Fashion Runway.
We also talk about why Snowbound can be especially helpful for families preparing for their first ski season. Kids can see and touch the gear, learn how to read a trail map, meet representatives from local mountains and experience the energy of the ski community before ever stepping onto snow.
And Nicole and Sarah share their veteran Snowbound tips — from wearing comfortable shoes and arriving early to scouting local mountains ahead of time and leaving room to discover some of the smaller brands, artists and entrepreneurs you won't necessarily find at your local ski shop.
Scheduling at Ski Haus is open! Appointments start Saturday, 9/12.
Available for kids 16 & under, includes skis /poles or a snowboard, boots + bindings. Make a separate appointment for each child at Ski Haus in Salem, NH; Framingham or Woburn, MA. Bonuses:
