Non-Horror July rolls on and we are headed to the ice rink for the ultimate '90s "Die Hard in a..." action spectacular: the 1995 Peter Hyams classic, Sudden Death.
Jean-Claude Van Damme stars as Darren McCord, a former French-Canadian firefighter turned arena fire inspector who just wanted to take his kids to Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals. Instead, he finds himself as the only line of defense when a brilliant, ruthless ex-CIA operative takes the Vice President and the entire arena hostage. With the building rigged to blow when the final buzzer sounds, Van Damme has to skate, fight, and save his way through the arena to save the day.
