For the first time, I turned on the camera without a script, without an outline, and without editing.
Just one conversation.
A few years ago, I looked in the mirror and didn’t recognize my own body. My waist had changed. My belly had changed. My blood sugar was climbing again. My mental health wasn’t where I wanted it to be.
My instinct was the same one so many women have:
Work harder.Eat less.Push more.
Instead, I did the opposite.
Over the next few years, I learned how to care for my body differently during midlife.
With kindness.
In this episode I share the changes that helped me return to a body I recognize.
Not by forcing it into submission, or harnessing exhausting feats of willpower and discipline.
But by learning how to work with it.
We talk about:
- Why I chose contentment over confidence
- What changed in my body around age 47
- Why midlife bodies become less stress resilient
- The surprising power of mental rest
- Why after-dinner walks became part of my routine
- Why eating enough matters more than eating less
- The difference between fighting your body and partnering with it
If you’ve looked in the mirror lately and thought, “That doesn’t look like me anymore,” this conversation is for you.
