Hagrid takes the students in the Forbidden Forest for their lesson and we finally learn what pulls the school carriages - Thestrals
Draco seems very scared to go into the forest. After everything he has done lately, Tori wishes something would eat him in there
Does it make sense to teach a lesson about a creature that most students cannot see?
Hagrid is actually doing a great job at his lesson so far and is very knowledgable about Thestrals
It's interesting that there are magical creatures that have superstitious connotations like in the real world
Umbridge shows up in the forest for her inspection, too bad the Thestrals won't eat her
Umbridge is deliberately speaking to Hagrid rudely and speaking over him, and about him to students during the lesson to obviously make him look incompetent, +1 sucks point
When Neville reveals that he can see the Thestrals, Umbridge straight up asks him who he saw die in front of his peers, not considering the trauma this event may of caused +1 sucks point
Neville being able to see the Thestrals as well as Harry shows another link between them, could be foreshadowing to the prophecy potentially being about Neville
Hermione is super mad at Umbridge and we are on her side
It's Christmastime at Hogwarts but Shay is just starting to decorate for Halloween season in the real world
Peeves trying to strangle Ron with tinsel brings some whimsy to the season decorating
For the first time Harry wants to leave Hogwarts for Christmas

It must of been so hard for Ron to see Harry in such a state while Harry is also telling him is dad is very injured
McGonagall is brought over and she thankfully believes Harry
