Hagrid's tale about the giants is actually quite grim for a children's book
Wizards 100% contributed to the giants current predicament and it is nice the story includes it
Shay can grudgingly admit that Dumbledore played this right diplomatically
Was the battle helmet giving to the Giant Grug commissioned for a Giant head? How did Dumbledore manage to have this?
Hagrid's mission is thrown off by the Grug they were working with being killed off soon into their operation
Hagrid was unfortunately not able to recruit any Giants to the cause which is disheartening
Love Hagrid's admiration for Madame Maxime
Hagrid and the trio are interrupted by Umbridge paying Hagrid a visit
Why is Umbridge bothering Hagrid so late at night? Surely her interrogation could wait until a respectable hour +1 sucks point
Umbridge speaks to Hagrid so rudely, obviously showing her prejudice +1 sucks point
Interesting that Umbridge at least attempted to be fake nice with the other professors but not with Hagrid
It doesn't seem right that Umbridge can demand to know why and where Hagrid was on leave
Love Hagrid but he is so bad at lying
Hagrid loves yapping too much to sense Umbridge's bad vibes
Umbridge hates Fang which is a red flag
Hermione tries to convince Hagrid to change his lesson plans but he does not seemed worried
Shay wishes the story would divulge more about how the wizards oppressed other magical beings and caused a lot of issues that are touched on but never really solved
Lots of exposition in this chapter but more exciting chapters are coming!
