Vietnam's contemporary history is a subject of significance to many historians and politicians as it progresses through the transformation of political systems, opposing doctrines, proxy wars and domestic turmoil fuelled by discontent and radicalization. This episode will focus on one particular event, a revolution, after WW2 that would be a point of change in the Vietnamese political system affecting the nation's raison d'être and snowballing into its history of multiple wars from the 1950s onwards.
