When it comes to creating your path, the importance of having quality relationships in your life is not talked about enough. There’s a saying that the road to the top is a lonely one, and as a former workaholic who was constantly on the grind, I can relate to sacrificing quality relationships for the sake of obtaining a goal. On the flip side of the coin, I’ve also experienced what it’s like when the quality of relationships falls short and it can feel very transactional to interact with people, or as if people stay in my life just to gossip about whatever I’m up to.
As I’m getting older, I’ve started creating new relationships simply for the joy of it and simply because the exchange fills me up. I hope to continue investing into these people as best as I can so that when it is time to celebrate a big win or heck, just life, I won’t be standing alone.
Life is too short to just be consumed in what you do. Take notice of the people who support you and be mindful to pour into them just as much (if not more) than they pour into you. This podcast explores the importance of having real quality relationships!
