Have you ever reached the end of the day discouraged because you lost your patience… again?
After talking with a close friend about her struggle to be patient with her kids (who, by the way, have a wonderful mom), I found my own patience being tested after two frustrating hours on the phone with my insurance company. As I was transferred from one department to another, I could feel my impatience thermometer rising.
Whether it’s driving, a certain co-worker, “customer service,” or grape jelly on your new carpet, we can lose patience and say, or even think, things we wish we hadn’t.
Even the apostle Paul wrestled with this. We will look at Romans 7, where Paul wrote of his struggle and, more importantly, his answer. Spoiler alert: his answer is the same as ours.
