Helium One Global Ltd (AIM:HE1) CEO Lorna Blaisse and chairman Clive Carver joined Proactive's Stephen Gunnion to discuss the company's first helium sale from the Galactica project in the US and the next phase at Southern Rukwa in Tanzania.
Blaisse described the sale as transformational: "We have now very much moved beyond being a pure explorer and are now an exploration and production company." Multiple wells are tied into the Galactica facility, which is moving towards continuous 24/7 operations, with a short-term offtake agreement in place and longer-term supply discussions ongoing. The joint venture is also assessing opportunities to monetise associated carbon dioxide, alongside plans for additional development wells.
At Southern Rukwa, geological modelling is being refined ahead of a next phase focused on fractured basement targets, with potential cluster wells connected to a central processing facility. PVE has been appointed to manage a farm-out process, with several parties already engaged.
Carver noted that key catalysts to watch include increased Colorado production, a Southern Rukwa farm-out and potential new project opportunities.
