He specializes in memory and attention, and his most recent research focuses on face perception and hindsight bias. He's participated in hundreds of criminal cases as an expert witness. In this episode, he discusses the science behind the vistion of the witnesses in the Zodiac case, as well as the environmental elements that might affect their interpretation of what they saw. He also shares details of a program he uses to show what various Zodiac suspects might look at under different lighting conditions, and at different distances.
