Welcome to episode #270 of The COD Casuals, where we discuss all things Call of Duty, casual and professional!

In this episode, we start off with the increase in pricing for gaming, which now seems to be nearly across the board. With the recent news that Sony raised the price of the PS5 across the board, with the PS5 being $900, and Microsoft’s new CEO announcing a change to the Game Pass pricing, we cover the thoughts as a gamer in 2026, and how our hobby’s barrier to entry is getting more and more difficult to reach. Along with this, we also got a rumor circling that Call of Duty will be taken off of Xbox Game Pass later this year, assuming that COD’s next title will not be available through it. We share our thoughts on this move, and if it’s good or bad for the future of the game and the series, as GTA VI looms over all games releasing towards the end of this year. Finally, we end with some more CDL roster moves, as we draw close to the first week of the Major 3 qualifiers.
