Welcome to episode #273 of The COD Casuals, where we discuss all things Call of Duty, casual and professional!
In this episode, we start off with the news that Modern Warfare 4 will not be released on last-gen consoles, making it the first COD in over a decade to move exclusively to the current generation of consoles. We share our thoughts on the move, those who still main on the old consoles, and what the future looks like for console gaming vs. PC gaming, as both are becoming more and more expensive. We then shift to the current state of BO7, and discuss how COD has changed over the years to where we currently are, and what this says for Modern Warfare 4. The focus has shifted over the years to variety and quantity for all players, and moved away from good fundamentals in their titles. We give our opinions on the fundamentals IW needs to focus on to gain traction for their title. Finally, we give an overview on the CDL weekend, as serious concerns are still there for some of the bottom teams, and the battle for the top has gotten even closer as we are closing in on major 3.
What do you think about the move away from old gen support regarding COD? When did you make the switch to the next gen, or do you still play your old console? What are your thoughts on our talk regarding settings in COD? Do you think there are too many, or do you enjoy the customization? Finally, what are your main points for IW to focus on for MW4? Please let us know as we discuss this and much more! Hope you all enjoy the episode and we'll see you next week.
