Long before it became mainstream, she saw the shift toward scalp health and whole-body wellness. Today, at the heart & helm of the Salon Channel at Nutrafol, Johnnell is passionate about shaping the future of holistic hair health and helping make inside-out beauty the new standard. Outside of work, she is fueled by travel, connection, yoga, meditation, and a love for new experiences that keep her grounded and inspired, because less stress = healthier hair.

Carole started her career as an educator, traveling salon to salon to train and educate—and she hasn’t stopped since. An architect of hair, her unrivaled technique and style have earned her the reverence and admiration of peers and audiences worldwide.
A Parisian native, Carole moved to Los Angeles in 2000 to pursue her career at Wella, where she spent 25 years leading Education Strategy, Artist Community, and Shows & Events for the North American market.
Carole’s warmth and creativity have inspired stylists and consumers around the world, building a global following that genuinely values her perspective.
Today, as Sr. Director of Product Education at Nutrafol, Carole leads the design, delivery, and evolution of education across the organization’s multi-tiered marketing and sales channels, reaching salon professionals, healthcare professionals, and prestige retail.
