The U.S. defence secretary posted a photo from a Canadian cadet training centre this week and Canada spent two days arguing about whether it was rude.Nobody read the order.In 2024 the Canadian Armed Forces rescinded the COATS Health and Physical Fitness Strategy and removed the mandatory requirement for Cadet Organizations Administration and Training Service members to complete the FORCE Evaluation, the Fitness for Operational Requirements of Canadian Armed Forces Employment Evaluation. In the same four-paragraph order, the CAF reminded those members to maintain a healthy and active lifestyle as a positive example to the youth in the Cadet Program.
