In this episode of Wellness You Way, I’m diving into a topic that is incredibly common but still widely misunderstood: what was formerly called PCOS and is now referred to in this episode as PMOS. I’ll explain what the name change means, how PMOS is diagnosed, why insulin resistance is such an important piece of the puzzle, and why you can have PMOS at any body size. We’ll also talk about the functional nutrition strategies I use to support women with PMOS, including nutrition, blood sugar regulation, strength training, sleep, stress management, targeted supplementation, and more. Before we get into that, I’m also sharing new research on why preserving muscle mass may be much more important for long-term health than simply focusing on the number on the scale.
