Lynn Breedlove (He/They) is a longtime legend in the Bay Area Punk Scene, having played the same stage the same night with Pansy Division (Oh the story there) and so much else.
Pulling long time collaborators Travis Andrews and percussionist Andy Meyerson for this current project "Trust Me" for some really beyond personal experiences of grief, growing up queer, lost in America's shameful history of exclusion. Fighting to self identify, and fighting just to survive.
This album goes into a life no stone unturned, Lynn tells the story of a series of murders that were personal, and how to love the person who did it, saying "Forgiveness does not equal justice" and plenty of other insights into what makes us human.
Lynn also told some great stories about Chris Freeman of Pansy Division, that I have his permission to leave in this episode.
The album is called "Why I like Dead Guys", and it came from an email explaining Bowie and Prince. Nuff said.
