October on TikTok: Congo River Basin, Mami Wata, and a Tunnel Lady Update

On this week’s episode, Dena and Catalina kick things off with their thoughts on @ash_dykes’  Congo Basin expedition, highlighting videos by @parkertaylor49, @carolfordd, and @ughdress. They also share what they’ve learned about Mami Wata from @eplleseed and spotlight @sharedwithsarah’s videos, in particular, as great explainers on the subject. The trend also coincides with the return of @geodesaurus’ spooky lake videos. In the FYP segment, Dena shares the toilet kid (@damiansworld8) and a four-year recap of the tunnel lady from @engineer.everything. Catalina’s algorithm served up a Palantir dating fail from @sophieb.b7 and coverage of Forever Twilight in Forks (@gretainforks), a superfan event. In Learning on TikTok @victordoesthemath is telling us about things we can get for free, like notarized documents, a will, and jewelry cleaning. Wrapping up with some atypical food content, they share a clip from @keepingupwithkeerah about death row meals and protein.
