In the fall of 1980, 13-year-old Darlene Tilley was playing softball with some friends in Durham when she began feeling ill. She headed off on the short walk home, refusing a friend's attempt to accompany her, and disappeared that afternoon. Two months later, hunters found her deceased body in a thicket of woods, and the case went cold. While there isn't a lot of information publicly available on Darlene's murder investigation, investigators zeroed in on a person of interest in the early 2000s, and are still seeking information that may help solve this cold case.
