On this episode of Metal Mayhem ROC, Metal Walt sits down with two guests from very different worlds who have each built careers by connecting with audiences in their own unique way.

First, Skid Row bassist Rachel Bolan joins the show to discuss Garden State Gargoyle, his first-ever solo album. Rachel talks about returning to New Jersey, working with producer Nick Raskulinecz, collaborating with friends including Corey Taylor, Nuno Bettencourt, Snake Sabo and Scotti Hill, and the creative freedom that came with stepping outside the Skid Row framework.

Then comedian Marcus Monroe stops by to discuss the viral New York City subway videos that helped launch his national touring career. Marcus shares stories from the subway, the creative process behind his characters and costumes, audience reactions, music-inspired comedy, and the similarities between life as a touring comedian and life on the road in a rock band.

Two conversations. Two different creative paths. One entertaining episode of Metal Mayhem ROC.
