Sheila Guyse was mentioned amongst those like Dorothy Dandridge and Lena Horne. She was featured on the covers of magazines like Jet, Ebony and Hue but what happened to her and why don’t we know her story? She starred in independent Black films after getting her start at the Apollo Theatre but when she met her 3rd husband, her career came to a screeching halt.
