Amazon is Testing AI Main Images Without Telling Anyone

Send us Fan Mail

Amazon is testing AI-generated main image backgrounds, and sellers may not even know their images are changing. For years, Amazon has pushed sellers to use clean white backgrounds for their main product photos. Now, Amazon appears to be testing its own AI-generated backgrounds on beauty listings from brands like Olay, Bliss, L'Oréal, and St. Ives. From gray backgrounds to completely different product images, these changes raise questions about Amazon's image rules and how they could affect click-through rates. Watch real examples from Amazon search results and see what these AI image tests could mean for sellers and their product listings.
