What is the Satanic Panic? It was a moral panic predominantly occurring in North America throughout the 1980s and early 1990s. The general public lost their shit over the belief that Satan worshippers, from school teachers to politicians, were members of a cult that would abduct, sexually abuse, and/or sacrifice children.
