Halfmachine is the Rotterdam-based darkwave project of guitarist Joris Telgen and DJ, producer, and film composer Diether Eichler. In our overstrained, ‘infocalyptic’ society, the raw but cinematic darkwave of Halfmachine is a musical response to the concrete blocks of brutalism, Paul Verhoeven’s visions of the future, and the extra-human proportions of an industrial port city.
