The walls of your home are never neutral. What you place in front of your eyes quietly trains your attention, and over time it can either scatter your prayer or steady it. We talk through how sacred icons in a Catholic home can become gentle prompts to pause, make the sign of the cross, and turn back to God in the middle of ordinary life.

We also clear up a common fear with plain language: Catholics do not worship icons. Worship belongs to God alone. When we venerate an image of Christ, Mary, or a saint, the honor is directed to the person depicted, not to the wood or paint.
