Two lessons from October 7 Hamas attack on Israel:
1. Hamas knew the attack would provoke a response from Israel. Perhaps Hamas underestimated Israel's response, but it wanted the Israeli response.
2. The Hamas attack on Israel has resulted in much devastation and destruction of the perpetrators. It may have gained some propaganda ground, but it resulted in the desires of the perpetrators to come back on their own heads and upon the heads of others they were associated with.
