“Deity of Christ” believers have claimed that Isaiah saw Jesus, the “second person of the Godhead”, in Isaiah’s vision of God recorded in Isaiah 6. The deity-of-Christ claim is that when John wrote, “Isaiah said this because he saw his glory and spoke of him” (John 12:41) that when Isaiah saw God sitting on his throne in a vision, Isaiah saw Jesus.Did the prophet Isaiah, who claimed the God of Israel was the Father, claim to have seen God the Son and his glory?Or, was John claiming that "his glory" which Isaiah prophetically saw was the glory of the Servant of YHVH God?Resources: Written text of this podcast: https://landandbible.blogspot.com/2026/07/john-1237-45-john-does-not-claim-that.htmlBill Schlegel One God Report: https://www.youtube.com/@billschlegel1The Trinity is NOT Biblical: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T1VuvKEyB0gDeity of Christ Interpretations of Scripture Dishonor Jesus of Nazareth, the Christ: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R2VOKEvGqAwWhat About John 1?
