BTS: $4767 in 7 Days as a Pregnant SAH-Toddler Mom (No Team, No Childcare)

Dela

Welcome back to Tipsy Business! After a little time off, I'm pulling back the curtain on one of the most chaotic (and honestly, most fun) weeks I've had in my business — no childcare, no team, and I doubled my usual workload, all while pregnant and running two businesses.

In this episode, I'm breaking down:

  • Why I had zero support in June — my in-laws were in San Diego with my sister-in-law's new baby, my mom was in Europe and then Kansas City, and I was suddenly doing double the work in my product-based business with none of my usual help.
  • The 2 things that made this week actually fun instead of a nightmare — a simple running list of money-making tasks for small pockets of time, and a list of easy activities/outings for my toddler. No hour-by-hour schedule required.
  • The mindset prep that started a month before — how I mentally and physically got ready once I found out I'd be solo for a while.
  • What I never do, no matter how busy things get — I don't wake up before my son, I don't work after bedtime, and I don't work weekends (with one exception this week I'll explain).
  • The real, unfiltered week — including a very not-perfect Friday (4 rounds of toddler throw-up, one at the zoo, obviously with no backup outfit) and how "things don't have to go perfectly for me to hit my goals."
  • The actual hour-by-hour breakdown of how much I worked each day (spoiler: it was about 1–2 hours max, mostly during naps and small pockets of independent play).
  • The full money breakdown: $4,767 total — $1,835 from Etsy, $1,593 from Minted, $39 from Michael's, and $1,300 from coaching, plus a look at fees (about 13% across platforms) and ad performance (a 37x return on ad spend on Etsy).
  • A June recap: how the month wrapped up at almost $13K, plus $4K in signed contracts for future payment, and why I chose to slow down and rest once support came back instead of cramming in more work.

If you've ever felt like you're winging it in your business, leaving money on the table because you don't know what to do next, or telling yourself you have to work nights and weekends to get ahead — this episode (and House Rules) is for you.
