Lyrics Below. “The Resolution Of Time” is a reflective acoustic song about looking back over a lifetime of faith, family, memories, joy, , marriage, children, and the passing years. Some memories fade while others return through music, but through every season Jesus remains the One to call upon. The song centers on redeeming the time as night draws near and awaiting His return, with “the resolution of time” expressing the idea of life’s tensions finally resolving in Him, like a musical progression returning home.
[Verse 1]
In the bright morning I know You are there
Eyes open—I breathe a prayer
Over memories of yesteryear
Of days of joy and days of tears
I redeem the time as night draws near
Awaiting Your Return
[Chorus]
I, I always call upon You
You are the One I run to
In the morning or at night
I know that You are always there
In You I find peace in prayer
[Verse 2]
How time seems to pass as the day is long
Those days of youth now gone
Some memories like smoke have disappeared
But sometimes a song can make them reappear
I redeem the time as night draws near
Awaiting Your Return
[Chorus]
I, I always call upon You
You are the One I run to
In the morning or at night
I know that You are always there
In You I find peace in prayer
[Bridge]
I see the light shining through me
And I wanna go up to You
For there is nothing out there I could find
Just the resolution
Resolution of time
[Verse 3]
A Godly wife, Lord, that is by my side
From days of youth till journey's end
Adventures with You, Jesus, around each and every bend
With our precious children You did send
I redeem the time as night draws near
Awaiting Your Return
[Chorus]
I, I always call upon You
You are the One I run to
In the morning or at night
I know that You are always there
In You I find peace in prayer
I, I always call upon You
You are the One I run to
In the morning or at night
I know that You are always there
In You I find peace in prayer
I redeem the time as night draws near
