Lyrics Below — "I Have Read The Holy Bible" is an original song by Shiloh Worship Music, blending traditional bluegrass with the free-spirited psychedelic hippie country-rock sound of the late 1960s and early 1970s.
Featuring prominent five-string banjo with driving three-finger picking, expressive bluegrass fiddle with bluesy improvisation, acoustic and electric guitars, mandolin, Hammond organ, melodic bass, and a steady Southern country-rock groove. Rich, high-lonesome three-part vocal harmonies lift the choruses, surrounding Shiloh's warm, conversational baritone.
The song celebrates the enduring truth of Scripture, the hope of salvation through Jesus Christ, and the journey of faith along the narrow road that leads to eternal life. With its joyful, earthy instrumentation and heartfelt message, it brings together the musical spirit of the 1970s bluegrass revival and the timeless message of the Gospel.
**I HAVE READ THE HOLY BIBLE**
**Lyrics & Music: Shiloh Worship Music**
[Verse 1]
Take His Hand And He'll Take Yours
As We Gather Together To Reach The Other Shore
It's A Rocky Road Narrow Sure To Be To See His Face Eternally
[Chorus]
Well I've Read The Holy Bible
And The Words Of Life Therein
He's The Hope Of My Salvation
He's The Place Where Life Begins
[Verse 2]
Take Your Burden To The Foot Of The Cross
Forsake Your Sins And Count The Cost
It's A Rocky Road A Narrow Sure To Be
To Live Forever Eternally
[Chorus]
Well I've Read The Holy Bible
And The Words Of Life Therein
He's The Hope Of My Salvation
He's The Place Where Life Begin
Heaven To Gain And Hell To Shun
Eternal Life Through God's Own Son
It's A Rocky Road And Narrow Sure To Be
To Live Forever Eternally
[Chorus]
Well I've Read The Holy Bible
And The Words Of Life Therein
He's The Hope Of My Salvation
He's The Place Where Life Begin
[Verse 3]
Walk With Jesus Well He'll Walk With You
Take You To Heaven When This Life Is Through
And It's A Rocky Road And Narrow Sure To Be
If You Follow Jesus You Will See
[Chorus]
Well I've Read The Holy Bible
And The Words Of Life Therein
He's The Hope Of My Salvation
He's The Place Where Life Begin
[Outro]
[Chorus]
Well I've Read The Holy Bible
And The Words Of Life Therein
He's The Hope Of My Salvation
He's The Place Where Life Begin
