Grashow's intricate woodcuts and fantastical sculptures have appeared in museums and galleries, on iconic album covers, and in more than a thousand publications. As he approaches 80, he takes on the commission of a lifetime and begins obsessively carving what could become his magnum opus.
As the work takes shape, Grashow wrestles with the meaning behind the piece, the realities of aging, and an unexpected decision that changes the course of the project.
