In July of 2016, 16-year-old Lashaya Stine left her home in the middle of the night to meet her ex-boyfriend. She left all of her belongings at home except her cell phone. Lashaya, an honor roll student who’d just been accepted into a medical internship program at a local hospital, never returned home. Her family believes that she was forced into the world of human trafficking. Countless tips have come in to support this theory, however none of them have been able to be substantiated. Her family knows that Lashaya, regardless of the circumstances, would fight to get back to them, and like her, they refuse to give up. This is her story…
At the time of her disappearance, Lashaya was 16 years old, 5’6”, and 150 lbs. She is a black female with black hair and brown eyes. She has a quarter-sized round scar on her chest. Her hair was styled in cornrows, but she may also wear it tied up in a bun or wear a wig. She also may have experienced weight loss after her disappearance. Lashaya was last seen wearing an white long-sleeved shirt, black stonewashed jeans, silver metal hoops earring, and a silver metal watch on her left wrist. Today, Lashaya would be 26 years old. She is listed as an endangered missing person.
